It’s already been almost a month since we were invited to the Bucherer Multi Brand Day. But I got to try on so many amazing watches there that I really want to share my experience. The event took place on October 8, 2026, at the Bucherer store on Berlin’s Friedrichstraße. It was set up like a small watch fair, there was gin and tonic, and it was absolutely packed. The participating brands set up small booths and brought all kinds of new and extraordinary models. But it’s also always really interesting to talk to the representatives of the watch brands themselves. Grand Seiko, Tudor, Nomos, Ulysse Nardin, Moser & Cie, Breitling, Bulgari, and Longines were all present at the Bucherer Multibrand Day. There was also a prize to be won if you collected stickers from all the booths, but we arrived a little too late, so I didn’t get to find out what the prize was. But the main thing was the amazing watches and great conversations.
Let’s start right off with one of the absolute highlights: the Super-Freak by Ulysse Nardin. What a watch. Two tourbillons, a mere 350,000 euros—and right on my wrist. I was a little nervous. In comparison, the Freak by Ulysse Nardin seems almost normal. The blue version wasn’t really my thing, but the all-black one is really cool. Futuristic design paired with superb watchmaking is.The Ulysse Nardin Diver was definitely one of my favorite watches at the event, though, and I’m wondering if it might actually fit into my collection after all. A great and comfortable diver for sure.We weren’t all that impressed with the Bulgari Serpenti, which might also be because it didn’t really fit my partner’s wrist. The Bulgari Octo isn’t really my style, but wearing such an incredibly thin watch was definitely something special. You should definitely try.The new Chronomat from Breitling is a great watch. It sits comfortably on the wrist; it makes a statement without being ostentatious.I was also impressed by Breitling’s solid-gold Navitimer. It’s a little too heavy and big for me, but in gold it’s even cooler than the stainless-steel Navitimer. The turquoise Breitling Superocean wasn’t really my color, but the size of the watch was perfect for my wrist. It still looked like a real watch, though.Personally, the larger version of Breitling’s Superocean was a bit too big for me, but otherwise it’s a great watch. The muted color is also more my style.I was disappointed with the Longines Hydroconquest. It seemed a bit clunky and unrefined to me. I’d also worn the larger version on my wrist, but neither of them was my kind of watch. The Tudor Bumblebee looks a lot less funny in person, but it’s a truly magnificent watch. The yellow color still puts me off, though; I hope we’ll see this model in more subdued colors soon.Another highlight that I would have loved to take home. The Tudor Black Bay 58 925, with a case made of solid silver and a dove-gray dial and bezel, is wonderfully different from other diver’s watches. My partner and I really liked the Tudor Black Bay One. For some reason, there isn’t quite the perfect color combination yet, but that might still happen. It looks really good on her.I wasn’t really interested in the Tudor Monarch at all, but it made an impression on me when I tried it on. It looked much more modern than I had expected from the photos. Still, I don’t think it suits me.I actually liked the Tudor Royal much better in person than in the pictures. The bezel looks really cool on the wrist, . The 36mm two-tone version with a different dial color would be my pick. The Moser & Cie Streamliner Alpine Mechanics has the same dimensions as the Off-Grid, and now I’m kicking myself for not listening to my gut and ordering it when I still had the chance. It fits really well and feels like a real Moser.I put on the Moser & Cie Pioneer just for fun—the color really isn’t my style at all. But once a Moser is on your wrist, it just doesn’t want to come off. I don’t know what it is, but so far, every Moser has really blown me away. The Nomos Metro in Ice Blue had been unveiled just one day before the event, so it was pretty cool to be able to wear it right away. And the watch is cool anyway. found it a little hard to read. But the power reserve is such a cute detail. The Nomos Wordtimer with the Lume ring was also unveiled just before the event. It’s not my color, and Lume isn’t that important to me either, but I know how many watch enthusiasts Nomos will likely make happy with it.The Nomos Club Sport Neomatik is such a solid watch. It’s not in the picture, but the burgundy color really blew me away. A perfect Gada watch with a great design. Simply a German explorer’s watch. The Grand Seiko Elegance was also a highlight. It’s a magnificent yet boring watch all at once. I can’t quite describe why this ambivalence makes me so happy. I have to add this watch to my wish list. A perfect dress watch. The Grand Seiko Heritage has shown me why so many people are so enthusiastic about Grand Seiko. My photo doesn’t even begin to do justice to how magnificent the dials are.The Grand Seiko Evolution 9 wasn’t quite my cup of tea. The dial was certainly very interesting, but it didn’t really grab me. And I’m afraid the size of the GS isn’t quite to my liking either. The Grand Seiko Evolution Diver was too big for me. But really awesome watch. I was impressed by the innovative clasp. The quick-adjust feature and the locking mechanism wowed me.
Overall, the evening at Bucherer was a lot of fun. There were some new releases, lots of watches I’d always wanted to try on, a Super Freak, and at least one watch that made it onto my wish list. I hope Bucherer does this more often, and since it was absolutely packed—especially at the beginning—I’m sure I’m not the only one hoping for that. You always learn something new when chatting with people—for example, I got a guided tour through Switzerland and all the watch manufacturers. Funnily enough, that was the first time I’d ever worn a Grand Seiko, and until then, I’d only ever admired Ulysse Nardin watches in store windows. It reaffirmed my belief that Nomos is simply a genuinely likable brand with great people who truly stand behind its philosophy. I also thought it was nice to see that Breitling is modernizing its image without forgetting its history. I was already a bit of a Tudor fanboy, but I was still surprised by how much better the Royal and Monarch look in person than they do online or in the store window.
I’d love to see more of this—even if it’s surely quite exhausting for all the staff at Bucherer to make sure we guests have such a wonderful time.
